About me

Raúl Cicuéndez
Saxophonist | Teacher
I’m Raúl Cicuéndez, a Spanish saxophonist with over 24 years of experience in the world of music.
My basic formation was at the Higher Conservatory of Music of the Basque Country (Musikene), and later completed master’s degrees in performance, pedagogy, and chamber music at internationally renowned institutions such as the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, ARTS2, and Luca School of Arts.
Currently, I have the privilege of being a saxophone professor at the Académies of Brussels and Schaerbeek (Belgium), where I combine teaching with my work as a performer.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the honor of performing in countries like Japan, Belgium, Ukraine, France, the Netherlands, and Spain—both as a soloist and as part of chamber groups, orchestras, and stage productions.
What truly drives me is multidisciplinary artistic creation. I’m passionate about exploring how the saxophone can interact with other disciplines—dance, light, video, spoken word—to create richer, more emotional experiences that connect deeply with the audience.
I’ve also started a newsletter where I share updates, insights, and curious content about the saxophone. If you’re as passionate about this instrument as I am, I invite you to subscribe and follow me on social media:
YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
This website is a window into my world—here you’ll find my music, my projects, and the opportunity to share this passion through teaching as well.
